What I keep about you, and why

Short version: your name, your e-mail address, where you work, which demos you opened, and anything you chose to write to me. Not your IP address, not anything from the account you signed in with beyond those, and nothing at all until you sign in.

Who I am

Elgibe Solutions. If you want anything on this page acted on, reply to whoever sent you the link and it will reach me.

What is stored

• Your name, e-mail address and profile picture, as whichever of Google, LinkedIn or Microsoft you signed in with gives them to me. The picture is a link to their copy, not a copy of my own. If you sign in with a second one and both have verified the same address, I treat them as the same person — that is the only thing the address is ever used for beyond contacting you.
• Where you work and what you do there — what you typed on the way into your first demo, or what I could tell from your e-mail domain if it is not a personal one.
• Which demos you opened, when you first opened each, and how many times since.
• Whether you said I may contact you, when you said it, and the exact words you agreed to.
• Anything you wrote to me: what you thought of a demo, and any question you asked about a version for your organisation. Asking me a question is you asking to be contacted, and it is recorded as that.

If you leave an opinion

Nothing you write appears anywhere unless I put it there myself, and the two boxes on that form are what decide how. Leave them alone and any quote goes up with no name against it; tick them and I may use your name, or where you work, or both. I copy what you permitted at the moment I publish, so nothing on the site changes later without my doing it — and if you ask me to delete you, the quote goes with everything else, off the public page included.

I may tidy the wording before publishing. If I do, I keep what you actually wrote, and both are in the copy you can ask me for.

What is not stored

• Your IP address. The web server's own logs hold one for a short while; my database never does.
• Any password. There is no account here to have one — signing in is Google, LinkedIn or Microsoft telling me it is you.
• Any access token. Once you have signed in I never call them again.

Why

I run these demos to find people who might want something like them built. When you open one, I take an interest in who you are and what you looked at, and I may get in touch about it — that is my legitimate interest as a business, and it is the honest reason. Being added to anything, as opposed to contacted once about the thing you opened, only happens if you ticked the box saying so.

How long

24 months after your last visit, everything above is deleted. If you become a customer I keep it, because at that point it is a business record rather than a lead.

What you can ask for

• A copy of everything I hold about you.
• Deletion. Everything, including anything you have written and any quote of yours that is on the site at the time. It goes; it is not marked as gone.
• To be left alone while still using the demos. Withdrawing contact consent changes nothing about what you can open.

Ask and it happens — I do not need a reason and there is no form to fill in.
