Factory KPI Cockpit
Set an employee's targets for the year as their manager, then sign in as them and see what they can and cannot change.
A working KPI and balanced-scorecard system for a manufacturing plant, and the third of three independent builds of one written specification. Managers define what is measured and how it behaves, assign each employee the KPIs they are accountable for over a year, and review results month by month with traffic-light status against target. An annual plan will not activate until it holds exactly five assignments whose weights sum to 100, so the rules the spec describes are enforced rather than described. The demo opens on a persona picker rather than a login form. Employee, Department Manager, Plant Manager, QMS Responsible and Administrator are real accounts holding only the permissions that role should have, so the quickest way to understand the model is to do something as a manager and then try the same thing as an employee. Open this one beside the other two Factory KPIs demos. All three were built from the same specification, by different agents, none of which saw another's work.
What it does
- Pick a role at the door and see the app as that person sees it
- Define a KPI: how it is measured, which way is good, and its tolerance
- Build a year plan and watch it refuse to activate until the weights sum to 100
- Enter results and watch traffic-light status and achievement calculate
- Raise an improvement task and follow it through to completion
- Read a department or plant balanced scorecard built from the same numbers
Who it is for
Manufacturing, Plant managers, Department managers, Operations and continuous improvement, Quality management
